Slovenian company Aerosol d.o.o. is the recipient of a global award given by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that realize their business ideas with the help of intellectual property rights, and at the same time contribute with their innovation and creativity to a better future together.

Aerosol d.o.o. develops cutting-edge instruments and methods for measuring air quality, protected by patents and trademarks, which has helped them become leaders in this global niche. They are pioneers and leading global experts in measuring and researching black carbon and other carbon aerosols. Carbon aerosols, which include black carbon, are tiny particles in the air that have a negative impact on our health and the environment.

Company director Mateja Forštnarič said upon receiving the prestigious award: “We are very grateful, proud and honoured to have received the WIPO global award. The award is proof and recognition of the Aerosol Magee Scientific team for all its efforts and work in intellectual property and its successful commercialization in recent years. With the award, our company gained recognition, visibility and added value.”
