On May 24, the Bilingual Federal Trade Academy in Klagenfurt, Austria organised a symposium titled Connected / Mreženje. Vernetzung, whose speakers were:

– M.Sc. Fabiana Ribeiro de Pinho, Escola do SEBRAE
– Dr Štefan Bogdan Barenboim Šalej, SGBN
– Robert Frandolič, President SDGZ-URES
– com.sv. Benjamin Wakounig, SGZ

The symposium was coordinated by Vesna Hodnik, SGZ, and the music part presented by 2AK student Rebeka Kert.

Host, Principal Mag. Hanzi Pogelschek said in the introduction speech that 30 years of shared history is an example of good practice and that Hak-Tak wants to establish a more intensive cooperation with Escola tecnica SABRAE in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

30 years ago, Dr. Šrefan Bogdan Barenboim Šalej, one of the co-founders of the Slovenian Global Business Network (SGBN), then president of the Escola do Sabrae school, together with the then representatives of the TAK school and Mr. Karel Smolle, who was the guest of honour at the symposium, created a connecting project between the two schools. Escola do Sabrae adopted the model of the Bilingual Federal Trade Academy for the establishment and operation of the school, which continues to this day. They wanted a school that was focused on the economy, and this is exactly what they recognised here in Carinthia. The agreement also made it possible for students from Austria to go on exchange to Brazil and vice versa. Headmaster M.Sc. Pogelschek is once again advocating for the revival of cooperation and therefore invited founding member Dr Šalej and the director of Escola Tecnica de Formacao Gerencial, mag. Fabiano Ribeiro de Pinho, who said that Escola Sebrae was founded in 1993/94.

Dr Šalej, in the continuation of the speech, highlighted the beginnings of cooperation and his gratitude that today, after so many years, he is present again and that the SEBRAE school in Brazil is a success story. Dr Šalej had a vision of how to change and improve education in Brazil through entrepreneurship and a professional approach to education.
