The Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia (GZS), the Coordination of Independent Research Institutes of Slovenia (KOsRIS), the Rector’s Conference of the Republic of Slovenia (RKRS) and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia entered into a historic agreement that will help to achieve the high development goals of Slovenia – a higher quality of life for citizens, environmental sustainability and high added value.

Strategic cooperation in the economy-science-politics triangle must be primarily aimed at proactively addressing the “death valley” in the field of technological development and innovation.

Innovation is the key to increasing the added value of the Slovenian economy. The goal is for this to grow to 88,000 euros by 2030. Therefore, it is crucial that the area of development, research and innovation is coordinated with the priority sectors of the Slovenian economy and with established mechanisms for the transition from inventions through innovations to the market. This requires the full cooperation and support of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.

The ceremonial signing of the Agreement between the economy, science and politics took place today, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 1 p.m.
