The German car manufacturer Volkswagen has recently appointed the company Lotrič Certificiranje as an approved test laboratory for 16 out of a total of 48 test methods. With this, Slovenia became the sixth European country with a Volkswagen-approved laboratory.

The company Lotrič Certificiranje from Železniki is part of the family company Lotrič Metrology. What does the newly certified laboratory bring to Slovenian exporters?

“We will make it easier for all Slovenian automotive suppliers of the VW Group, who will now be able to carry out tests here instead of in Germany, to enter or cooperate with this automotive giant. With this new service, we plan to enter the markets of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, as well as Austria and Germany – that is, where we have our own companies,” says Mitja Lotrič, director of Lotrič Certificiranje and procurator of Lotrič’s subsidiary companies in Austria and Germany.
