In this edition, SSK’s guest Assoc. dr. Dario Križ, was born to Slovenian parents in Sweden and lives today in Lund with his family. At Lund University, where he is an assistant professor, he received his doctorate in biochemistry in 1994, and he has been involved in blood diagnostics throughout his scientific and academic career. He has several patents for useful innovations recognized in his field of work and is also an honorary consul of the Republic of Slovenia.
How do you feel about being almost the only one in your class who doesn’t speak Swedish, and how are you able to not only continue your studies but even be very successful at it? Where do you see the main differences between the systems of Sweden, the USA and Slovenia?
