The Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Matjaž Han, and the Minister of Slovenians Abroad, Matej Arčon, signed an agreement with representatives of Slovenia’s cross-border organizations on the establishment of the Cross-border Economic Coordination on December 13, 2022. The initiative for the establishment came from cross-border organizations with the aim of mutual integration and cooperation of Slovenian economic organizations in all neighbouring countries.
The initiative to establish this kind of coordination came precisely at a time when cooperation is crucial. Cross-border economic coordination is designed according to the good practice of the Agraslomak association, which after 10 years of operation already has a solid foundation for cooperation in the field of agriculture. State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, M.Sc. Dejan Židan and State Secretary at the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad, Vesna Humar, contributed significantly to the establishment of the coordination.
