We introduce you to a series of chats with Slovenians with the experiences of living and working around the globe prepared by Slovenian World Congress (SSK). In the 1st chat “Back to Slovenia” with Dr Dejan Valentinčič who has a lot of experience: he was employed as an assistant at the FDŠ, a consultant in the legal department of the RS Environment Agency, a young researcher at the FDŠ, a judicial intern at the Koper High Court and a secretary in the cabinet of two ministers at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenes Abroad and the World. He even spent three summers in Klagenfurt, where he was a holiday contributor to the Carinthian Slovenes newspaper Nedelja. Ever since then, as a publicist, he regularly cooperates with many media in the mother country, abroad and abroad. The areas of his research are the following: minority law and policies, migration law and policies, contemporary migration flows, brain circulation, inter-ethnic integration, the position of Slovenians abroad and around the world, and minorities in Slovenia. This gives him a broad and good insight into the issue of returning emigrants.
