In September, the value of exports increased by 52.7%, and the value of imports by 33.8%.

In the first nine months of this year, Slovenia exported 39.7 billion euros worth of goods, which is 37% more than in the comparable period last year. The value of imports increased by 44.8% during this period, to 42.5 billion euros, the statistical office announced.

The trade deficit in the first nine months amounted to 2.8 billion euros, and the coverage of imports and exports was 93.3%.

In the first nine months of 2022, Slovenia exported the most to Switzerland (21.7% of total exports), followed by Germany (14.6%), Italy (10.8%), Croatia (8.5%), Austria (6. 5%) and France (3.3%). Most goods were imported from Switzerland (14.6% of total imports), followed by Germany (12.5%), Italy (11.3%), China (9.5%), Austria (8.6%) and Croatia (5.1%). With the mentioned countries, Slovenia generated more than 60% of the total trade in goods.
