With the main goal of getting experience in practice and better learning about the operations and procedures in Slovenian companies around the world, a respective business internship program for young people from the Slovenian community in Italy and Brazil was formed. The initiative, which is also supported by the Government Office for Slovenians abroad, was set by the Slovenian Global Business Network (SGBN), the Slovenian Regional Economic Association from Trieste, Italy and the Chamber of Commerce Slovenia – Brazil (SLOBRAZ). The program is implemented in cooperation with the State Technical Institute Žiga Zois from Trieste, Italy (Instituto Tecnico Statale).
As part of the forenamed program, the first two students from Trieste will arrive in Brazil this week. In addition to working experience in a Slovenian company in the city of Caxias do Sul in the south of Brazil, staying with a Slovenian family will also provide both with experience of life in Brazil.
In January, two Brazilian Slovenians will be accepted for a one-month internship in Trieste.
The program also includes other Slovenian chambers of commerce around the world (from Canada, Argentina, Austria, Canada, etc.), which are part of the SGBN.
