The telecommunications company Iskratel and the information solutions provider S & T Slovenia have been united under the name S & T Iskratel since September. The company’s headquarters is in Kranj, and it is led by two CEOs, Sašo Berger, so far the first man of S & T Slovenia, and Robert Kuzmič, who last year replaced Željko Puljić as CEO of Iskratel.

According to Saš Berger, they expect to exceed the planned 150 million euros in revenue this year, of which 90% will be generated on the domestic market. “Our ambitions are of course higher. We will also implement this through acquisitions, which will complement our portfolio in the field of communication and information,” predicts Berger, who did not want to reveal specific targets.

The decline in eastern markets and expansion to new ones

According to Kuzmič, the markets of Russia and Ukraine have so far contributed between 30 and 40% to Iskratel’s annual business. “At the moment, it is difficult to operate in these markets where we have local companies, so we are working to the best of our abilities. In Ukraine, however, we offer emergency services and emergency delivery of equipment that is possible under actual circumstances. We have already adapted our operations to the health crisis and strategically identified new markets in Western Europe. We also focused on the active markets of our Kontron AG group, which are mostly in Central and Western Europe,” adds Kuzmič. Among these, he mentions Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain, where they have already signed a three-million contract with the telecommunications operator Zzoomm in Great Britain and already this year supplied some equipment to provide broadband access for residents and businesses.
