4 Slovenian companies reveal what is it that convinces the customer in Slovenia, as well as whether they seek any new partners from Austria.
Instrumentation Technologies offers breakthrough solutions in the fields of particle accelerators, the Internet of things, smart cities and medicine. Their team of engineers has been providing integrated hardware and software solutions for many years in the most technologically demanding as well as new emerging markets. “We work with high-tech companies and institutes all over the world. There are many such potential customers in Austria, and we work well with some of them. As an example, we are developing control and measurement instrumentation for the Viennese company Medaustron, which is a leading centre for ion therapy and development,” says Elvis Janežič, director of Instrumentation Technologies.
Janežič adds that they are interested in cooperating with Austrian partners on European tenders. “Our company is especially interesting for those customers who need an experienced partner who can provide a product with excellent performance and reliability. With our references in the field of particle accelerators, instruments in space, electronics in e-cars, measuring units in the industry of green energy sources and others, we have proven what we can do,” says the director of Instrumentation Technologies from Solkan.
Kovinoplastika Lož is a company whose beginnings date back to 1954. It is engaged in the production of ARX building fittings, Alveus brand sinks and KOVINOtools tools for sheet metal transformation. From product development and prototyping, and tool making to final product production, 90% of the company’s revenue comes from exporting products to all major markets in the world. “The Austrian market is very important for Alveus. In recent years, we have noticed that Austrian customers are demanding more and more high-quality products. If they also notice design surpluses and special user solutions in these products, the probability of sales is even greater,” explains Simona Celestina, head of sales and marketing. In the Austrian market, where they have a partner, Alveus mainly sells products in the middle and upper price range, with the share of top-level products constantly increasing. In Austria, dozens of innovations are offered every year, among which there are always quite a few that Alveus strengthens its position as an innovative provider of quality and unique solutions in certain market segments.
Geaprodukt, the largest Slovenian company specialising in the selling of fruit and vegetables in Slovenia and abroad, supplies retail chains, HORECA systems, budget users and retailers. Over many years of successful cooperation, they have developed close ties with their suppliers and manufacturers, not only in the region but all over the world. They store the goods in their own cold storage and ripening rooms, equipped with the latest technology. “The Austrian market is very important for our company. During the 32 years of the company’s operations, we have learned what the needs of the Austrian market are and we adapted our offer to these requirements. The Austrian market gives us new opportunities for business development both on the purchasing and sales side,” says Alma Ramčilović Jesih, director of Geaprodukt.
The mission of the leading European provider of preventive genetic tests, GenePlanet, is global, as they aim to offer preventive genetic tests to people all over the world. On the Austrian market, they cooperate with several business partners, but surely the Austrian insurance company, Merkur, which offers their services as an additional benefit within the loyalty program for its policyholders has to be highlighted.
In the Austrian market, they are looking for complementary partners in the field of health and well-being, whose users can receive an additional service through GenePlanet, i.e. genetic analyses, which globally belong to the fastest growing product segment. They cooperate a lot with distributors who offer their products within their sales networks and partnerships, among the more important partners are the insurance companies that offer their services to their policyholders to achieve well-being and health. “On the Austrian market, we also want to establish new collaborations with laboratories, as we have already done in several European countries,” adds the director of GenePlanet Marko Bitenc.
