The leaders of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment discussed environmental challenges in the economy and environmental legislation at a meeting on July 5, 2022, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They agreed on regular meetings, and in particular highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue as the only guarantee for the creation of the most suitable environmental solutions.
Tibor Šimonka, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed the desire of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce to be a partner of the ministry, “because we all have a common interest in the long term – to create the best possible environment for us and also for our descendants”. He believes that it is not possible to draw a line between the economy, which is covered by MGRT as the domicile ministry, and the environment, which is represented by MOP, due to their interconnectedness.
