The Slovenian World Congress (SSK) will organize 26th Youthcamp for Teenagers of Slovenian Origin from Abroad, from Sunday, July 24, to Friday, July 29, 2022, in CŠOD Kavka, Slovenia close to Kobarid, Slovenia.

The main purpose of the youth camp is to bring Slovenia closer to the minds and hearts of youngsters who live abroad. Divided into small groups of six teenagers with one group leader/animator participants discover the beauty of landscapes and various cultural monuments, culture and national identity of Slovenia, learn and improve their use of the Slovene language. Teenagers with no previous knowledge of the Slovene language are also most welcome to attend the camp.

Making new friendships with peers who share a common bond and come from all around the globe is an adventure and a great life experience.

What are the activities? Lessons in the Slovene language, afternoon hikes and tours, fire making, setting up shelters, baking of Kobarid dumplings, sports, socializing, board games, and more!

Who can participate? Young Slovenians from abroad aged from 10 to 15. However, if the child is over or below this age group, please send an e-mail to the contact below and together we will try to find a suitable solution. The attendance fee per participant is 190 EUR for the first applicant, 170 EUR for second and further applicants (valid for family members or group applications) and includes full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), entrance fees, transportation, workshop materials and accommodation in a youth hostel.
