Last Friday, January 21, Agriculture Minister Jože Podgoršek and Minister for Slovenians Abroad Dr Helena Jaklitsch met the members of the Slovenian community living in Croatia’s Gorski Kotar region, discussing positive developments in the region.
Jaklitsch and Podgoršek also inspected the construction of the Gorski Kotar tourist-educational farm in the village of Prezid, planned as a multifunctional community centre where the Slovenian minority in the region will pursue various activities.
The ministers also met other representatives of administrative, cultural and agricultural organisations of the Slovenian minority in Croatia, with minister Jaklitsch thanking them for their hard work and constructive and positive attitude towards the Slovenian community.
